The January 2009 issue of The Four Shires is out on the streets now. The main feature of this magazine is a super photo feature of the Queen's visit to Banbury at the end of November. All the pictures were taken by Harry Rhodes of Tudor photography and make a delightful souvenir of Her Majesty's visit to Banbury. In the pictures from the past section there are pictures of the Queen's last visit to the town in 1959. Other sections include:
• Ellacotts host a Christmas event at Broughton Castle
• Farmers Bloodhounds point to point
• Forge 2 opens in Culworth
• Biological contro with John Rowing
• Walker Evans exhibition at Chenderit School
• Pub signs are icons of England
• True crime in Buckinghamshire
• From the ague to aspirin with Maggie Chaplin
