March issue hits the streets

p2060767The March issue of The Four Shires has hit the streets. It features a striking front cover by the talented graphic designer Lyn Shields. The picture was taken on Wykham Lane between Banbury and Broughton and looks out towards Tadmarton and Swalcliffe. The picture resembles a desert scene - the dead tree in the foreground looks like a cactus!

The magazine features a wealth of local stories and features - the best of which are:

• A history of mile posts in the local area by Maggie Chaplin
• The Harte's stud farm at Shutford
• Shooting at Honesberie with Jonathan Wain
• Beer and food at The Red Lion in Steeple Aston
• A night out at The Farnborough Inn
• A review of the Wychwood Brewery
• Kevin Hodgkiss at The Black Boy in Milton
• Nick Holt at the Cherington Arms in Ilmington near Shipston

As well as this, all our favourite features are included: Countryman, Our country gardens, wining and dining, Business, Turning back the years and Antiques and books.
