Friends Of St Mary’s Adderbury

New concert will help raise funds

On Saturday, 23rd February at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s Church Adderbury  FOSMA are delighted to host Korrigan Consort, a choir for upper voices which, along with members of the FOSMA committee, has specially prepared a concert to celebrate some of the hidden treasures of St Mary’s. Not only will you hear the fabulous voices of this new, incredibly talented choir but we will also take you through a history of the church and point out some of the treasures which are hidden in open view. Did you know that the carving of William of Wykeham who, as Bishop of Winchester and Chancellor of England, authorised the expenditure on the chancel, is identifiable by the wart depicted on his chin? This and so much more will be revealed so do come and join us.  There will be a bar before the concert and also in the interval when wine and soft drinks will be served.  Tickets £10 from Trish Fennell 01295 811059 or trish.fennell@btconnect.com
