Visitor centre is an award winner
An independent assessment by visit England has commended Hook Norton, the Cotswold Hills based family brewer, for its visitor centre, describing it as a high quality visitor experience that is fully deserving of its 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction' award.
Praised for its high standards of customer care and quality of interpretation, Hook Norton holds the award for a second year, and remains one of just five family brewers to possess the accreditation.
Housed in the original maltings, the brewery offers visitors the chance to learn about the history of Hook Norton, climbing the steps of the beautiful Victorian water tower and witnessing how the famous range of beers are made. After visiting the shire horses that still deliver to the local pubs, visitors are then treated to a sampling session in the centre’s bar.
Richard Hughes, visitor centre Manager at Hook Norton Brewery, comments: “With over 10,000 beer enthusiasts passing through our visitor centre every year, providing a wealth of great feedback, this award reaffirms our belief and pride in the brewery tours, and is a real testament to the quality that we offer here at Hook Norton.”
With development work currently underway at the brewery, visitors can look forward to an even better visitor centre coming later this year, with an improved shop and tasting experience and a modern conference facility. Hook Norton Brewery runs two tours a day, from Monday to Saturday, with each tour lasting approximately two hours.
