Painting Exhibition Colourful Landscapes, Cityscapes, Florals, Still Life and Portraits by Sarah Allitt and Rhonwen Tatchell

Paintings by Oxfordshire artist Sarah Allitt and Dorset artist Rhonwen Tatchell will be exhibited at Sophie’s Barn in Chacombe on Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 September. This is Sarah Allitt’s first exhibition, while Rhonwen Tatchell has exhibited in Dorset and in London at The Mall Galleries and at the Royal College of Art. Both artists studied with artist Trevor Waugh.

The exhibition includes landscapes, cityscapes, florals, still life and portraits, executed with verve in vibrant, dynamic colours. Says Rhonwen, “I spent my formative years in the tropics. The strength of light and bright colours in that part of the world have had a profound effect upon my paintings and choice of subject matter. Colour can set up a drama and best express my emotions.”

Allitt adds, “My work is very much a reflection of my own personality and colour is very important to me, as are motion and contrast.”
