Come rain or shine Hook Norton Brewery will always be about the beer and right in time for the arrival of the great British summer they are brewing two new ales – Harvest Hop and the much loved and anticipated Haymaker.

Harvest Hop (3.9%)
Brewed for the first time last year and back by popular demand this light and fruity ale delivers a cosmopolitan hop burst, ideal for summer refreshment. A beer that deserves to be enjoyed al-fresco whilst soaking up the sun (or inside if the rain arrives!)

See: Pale amber
Smell: Light fresh fruit
Taste: Full, smooth, dry finish

Haymaker (5.0%)
A refreshing hoppy character, this strong pale ale has a bucket load of Goldings hops that give it a certain something extra – described by some like sunshine dancing on the tongue, although that may have been the beer talking!

See: Dark, bronze
Smell: Apple, fruity, hoppy
Taste: Rich, sweet, fruity

To celebrate these ales, on Thursday June 29th Hook Norton will be at The Gate Hangs High, Hook Norton 6pm – 7pm offering free samples of Harvest Hop then from 7pm – 8pm you will find them down the road at the brewery tap, The Pear Tree, Hook Norton with free samples of Haymaker. The brewers will be on hand to give the lowdown on how they created their ales, the ways and workings of the brewery and all things beer.

Harvest Hop & Haymaker will be on the bar at the brewery, in Hook Norton pubs across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire and will also be available to be selected for the free trade. Haymaker is available in cask for July only and Harvest Hop for July and August.
