A fantastic Roman mosaic has been uncovered in a village near Banbury, Oxfordshire. The size of the site is indicative of a very important merchant's house and is considered by experts to be one of the top ten sites in the country. In this picture, workers from English Heritage start to paste a preservative over the mosaic before it is entombed in concrete. |
