Season of Comedy at the Royal Spa Centre

March comedy

This March at the Royal Spa Centre there will be a selection of great stand up comedy acts from sell out performances from larger than life Brian Blessed to a tour from Love Island narrator Iain Stirling.

The month will kick off with one of the UK’s most in-demand comics and best friend to comedian Chris Ramsey (also coming to the Spa Centre in June), Carl Hutchinson on Friday 9 March. Expect killer gags, highly entertaining stories and the trademark twisted logic that has made Carl a must-see fixture in the comedy world.  From tales of pulling sickies as a teacher to his family upbringing and wrestling with his favourite vices, this new show is easily the most brutally honest and hilariously self-deprecating outing for this Geordie comedian. Chris Ramsey’s tour support and as seen on Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central & The Chris Ramsey show.

There are limited seats to see popular Milton Jones on Saturday 10 March. He’s holding up the mirror of truth to society, and he can see right through it, which means its probably just a window. In his brand new show he’ll be putting his foot down and lifting the lid on the pedal bin of lies of the media (which doesn’t include this press release obviously).

Recognisable face of British television, Bobby Mair will be bringing Loudly Insecure to the Spa Centre’s studio stage on Saturday 17 March. 30 years ago, Bobby was put up for adoption and now he’s tracking down his birth family one by one. Saying his search has hit a couple of snags would be an understatement and he still has relatives out there who continue to elude him – except for Justin Bieber. Loudly Insecure gives Bobby a chance to fill you in on the wildly dramatic twists and turns of his quest.

Iain Stirling is back after a summer narrating smash hit Love Island (ITV2) and now you can see his actual face on his brand new tour, U OK Hun? After selling out his entire Edinburgh Fringe run out in advance and adding shows due to extra public demand, the BAFTA winning comedian now hits the road to perform his acclaimed, hot ticket show around the UK. Tickets are limited for his performance at the Royal Spa Centre on Wednesday 21 March.
