Spiceball and The Mill team up for a weekend of Great Entertainment

Spiceball Leisure Centre has teamed up with The Mill Arts Centre to present a weekend of fantastic entertainment from the 4th-6th August, with the centre’s sports hall hosting music and family fun for audiences of up to 900 at a time.

On Friday 4th August, Spiceball will play host to legendary group The Searchers.  Part of the Merseybeat scene along with The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers, the quickly became household names with their catchy hits like ‘Sweets for my Sweet’ and ‘Sugar and Spice’.  Founding member John McNally still tours and draws the crowds just like he did in their heyday.

On Saturday, Britain’s Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam, the operatic brothers from North Wales, will be bringing their latest tour to Banbury.  Since the show the boys have had an extremely successful career, firstly heading to number 1 for 4 consecutive weeks, breaking UK records, followed by a sellout UK tour.  Their latest album also reached number 1 in the charts.

Finally, on Sunday 6th August, the ever popular Milkshake will fill the centre with fun for all the family. Starring Milkshake favourites; Bob the Builder, Little Princess, Noddy, Fireman Sam, Shimmer & Shine,  and two Milkshake presenters, this all singing, all dancing, musical masterpiece, will take audiences on a journey through the world’s favourite fairy tales.

Spiceball General Manager Graham Bleach said; “We’re delighted to announce dates for these fantastic performances in Banbury.  It’s a great line up of acts for a fun packed weekend, and I know we have something to appeal to everyone.  This is a new venture for us, and we’re thrilled to be working with The Mill Arts Centre on bringing big names to the town, and I’m sure it will be a huge success.”

Both the Searchers and Richard and Adam perform at 7.30pm with tickets priced at £23.50.  Milkshake will be at 2pm, with tickets priced at £18.00 and £16.00 for under 16’s.  Family tickets for Milkshake are also available for £55.50.
