THE TWITS

Roald Dahl created some really revolting characters but surely few can beat the noxious Mr and Mrs Twit!

David Wood’s brilliant adaptation mixes music, song, slapstick, audience participation, shouting beards, bird pies and balloons in a hilarious and interactive production for all the family to enjoy.

JEKYLL & MR. HYDE

Following the acclaimed performance of Nosferatu, composer Philip McConnell brings a live soundtrack to another classic silent movie. Philip, a Coventry kid now based in Canada – formerly Artistic Director of the Canadian Sinfonietta and composer-in-residence with the Toronto Sinfonietta – works once more with a talented group of local musicians from Orchestra Da Camera to bring his original score to life.

THE MEN WHO MARCHED AWAY

Created to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Great War, this haunting yet humorous show uses music and song to tell the story of “The War to End All Wars”.

Using a medley of soldiers’ songs, music hall numbers and war poems set to new music, the show features a host of wartime standards – Pack Up Your Troubles, Tipperary, Goodbyeee – to celebrate the courage and humour of the “Tommies” under fire and those they left behind.

A moving tribute to the fallen and a timely reminder of their sacrifice.

ARMISTICE: THE LONG ROAD TO PEACE

Exciting, engaging and inspirational jazz from the UK’s premier youth jazz orchestra.

Having helped launch the careers of many renowned artists, including Amy Winehouse and Dave Arch (leader of the Strictly Come Dancing band), this flagship orchestra come to Coventry off the back of a year-long residency at Ronnie Scott’s, concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and performances at Buckingham Palace with Gregory Porter.
