This year sees the return of the increasingly successful and popular Four Shires' Show which will take place on Sunday August 21st. The newly renovated Market Place in Banbury will again host a variety of activities with local food, drink, artists and special markets, cookery demonstrations, and tastings as well as a feast of other culinary traders.
Organised by The Four Shires working together with Banbury Town Council the Market Place will also host the council's Flower and Produce marquee which showcases the very best of Banbury's home grown fruit and vegetables and home produced cakes and preserves, pickles and crafts. Entry to the Four Shires' Show is free and it is already looking to be a greater success than last year when it attracted between 8 and 10,000 people. Visitors will be able to enjoy a host of exciting events and taste samples of some of the culinary delights Banbury has to offer. Music will be provided by the famous Adderbury Morris Dancers and there will be other children's attractions and entertainment. Planning is well underway and those who want to take part are urged to book now.
Last year the event attracted over 50 exhibitors representing local, regional, national and international produce and products. All the exhibitors reported good sales and were delighted with the results. So whether you're a serious foodie or just someone who enjoys good food and drink, there will be plenty to amuse you at The Four Shires' Show. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to showcase their culinary skills and the quality of local food and drink."
