Wine festival in Brackley

 BrackleywineThe third Brackley Wine Festival will provide the opportunity to taste and buy wine from a huge world-wide range and also support local charities

The festival will be held at Brackley Town Hall on Saturday 28 April between 12.00 noon and 7.00pm. Stallholders will include Members of the Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants and local independent suppliers. The festival gives the opportunity to taste new wines, guided by experts, where quality and flavour take precedence over brands and mass production.

The festival is being sponsored by Direct Legal & Collections of Brackley and it is organised by Brackley Rotary Club.  The event organiser, Rotarian Trevor Davies, said, “Following the success of last year’s event the festival provides a tasting opportunity for wine lovers to discover and buy new wines without the risk of the wine not being to their palate.”

“Proceeds from the entrance fee of £5 will benefit Brackley MIND day centre and other Rotary charities.”

Hogans Cider have moved

Hogan’s Cider have recently moved. In our new home we now offer for sale our modest range of ciders and perry.

So if you are ever passing please drop by and pick up some bottles.
A word of warning, we are not the easiest of places to find. The map should help. Get yourself to the village of Haselor (B49 6LX). We are about ¼ mile from the crossroads in Haselor on the right hand side down a lane off the road to Alcester.

Opening times are:
Monday to Friday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Saturday: 10.00 am - 1.00 pm

Focaccia for all!

focacciaFocaccia is a popular Italian flat bread best enjoyed warm, straight from the oven. Roll up your sleeves at Carluccio’s Focaccia class and learn how to make this tasty bread from scratch, kneading the floury dough through to choosing your favourite toppings from a selection of delicious fresh ingredients such as black olives, rosemary spindles, red onion and chopped walnuts. Guests will savour a glass of wine whilst waiting for their bread to rise, ahead of the all important taste test. Everyone will also receive a special baking gift at the end of the evening to inspire you to roll up your sleeves at home.

Thursday March 1st - 6.00 - 8.00pm £20 per person.
