Pauline Mallard was born in Rugby and lives there now having spent her whole life in the Midlands. After being diagnosed with dyslexia, Pauline realised why she had always had to work a little harder than others, but she didn’t let it stop her from achieving her dreams. After retiring in 2011 she began writing children’s stories. She has written several stories for children and visits nurseries and schools, including Omnipresence Nursery School in Northampton, to read to children of ages. A qualified spiritual healer and Reiki Master, she has two children and three grandchildren. The Amazing Adventure Begins is her first book.
The Amazing Adventure Begins is the tale of a young rabbit who leaves home for the first time, excited about the great adventures he is going to have in the big wide world. Who will he meet? Where will he go?
The book is a light-hearted and easy-reading bedtime story aimed at children from 3-8 years old that will take you into the magical realm of the forest and field animals.
The rabbit makes new friends, has new experiences, gets frightened and learns to value friendship, trust and loyalty. Through reading this story, children will learn to live together in love and friendship and have respect for each other and each other’s differences.
With fabulous full colour hand drawn illustrations throughout, the story is heavily influenced by the likes of Beatrix Potter.
Follow a rabbit, a badger, owl, fox, water rat and mole on their exciting travels. With magic and fairies and unknown twists and turns, their adventure has only just begun…
