Kingham’s annual village fete returns on the 10th July from 2pm. This year’s traditional Village fete will be mixed with a twist of Downton Abbey.

From Edwardian to Bright Young Things, everyone can dress up, not just the children. Pull out your elegant finery, military, formal or dandy wear. Throw on your cricket whites, trilby or tea dress anything goes….and prizes for the best dressed. There will be swing boats and swing bands, Pimms and pony rides, entertainment for all the family. The Greasy Pole, Punch and Judy, a BBQ, tea and cake, face painting, balloon modelling, ice cream, tug of war, tombola and stalls selling all sorts, from books to locally grown plants.

An old tradition is being brought back as fete organisers are asking the children of the village to decorate their bikes and pushchairs for a special parade round the green.
